Helping While at Home & Raising a Generation of Superhumans With Amy Loar of Generation SERVE

In the very first remote interview of Everyday Superhumans, Charlie & Kyle chat with Amy Loar, the Executive Director of Generation SERVE, about how families can have fun volunteering together even while at home. Generation SERVE is building a society of future superhumans and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of their journey.

Generation SERVE inspires youth aged 3 to 17 to focus on volunteerism and empowers them to make a difference in their community. Established originally in 2009, the nonprofit has 100 nonprofit partnerships, allowing youth and their families to consistently serve the environment, animals, seniors, and individuals and families in need.

In this moment of hardship it is best to look for the helpers, to paraphrase the late and great Fred Rogers. While we practice social distancing measures, Generation SERVE carries his message with their Helping While at Home initiative. The only requirement for volunteering is action and creativity.
